PAGODA TIMBER FRAMES

Custom hand carved timber frames…

About Us…

We at Pagoda Timber Frames have taken the revival of timber framing one step further than most timber framers, and have brought back and rediscovered the old world charm of hand embellished beams. Pagoda Timber Frames is a small but fast growing company, whose main objective is to create the highest quality timber frame on the market today. Pagoda specializes in creating European detailed timber structures. Our craftsman are highly qualified to handcraft any design to make your dreams become a sculpture-in-reality. Out portfolio includes reproductions of English Tudor castles, fourteenth century French Norman homes, Japanese Pagodas, and traditional American period designs. Pagoda has the capacity to execute timber frames to clients’ existing architectural designs by developing a frame to custom meet our clients blueprints. Pagoda designs have been published in “Fine Home Building Magazine”, August, 1985, “Connecticut Magazine” in October, 1986, “Great Timber Frame Homes of the 80’s”, Taunton Press and “Architectural Digest”, July, 1997.

We have the capacity to design, build and erect timber frame homes on a nation-wide basis. We will be pleased to meet with your architect or contractor, regardless of location and we have the flexibility to work in whatever manner that best suits your clients needs.

Our frames are built of either red or white oak, antique Douglas fir, green Douglas fir, western red cedar, tulip, eastern pine and native hemlock. Our finishes include: hand-planed, chip carved, power-planed and belt sanded, custom staining and matte finish polyurethane.

Factors to be considered in the cost of Pagoda’s unique hand carved timber frames are as follows:

- Type of wood used for frame
- Size of structure
- Style of structure
- Degree of design embellishment
- Location of job site
- Choice of finish

We have expanded our craft to include custom furniture such as dining/harvest tables, sideboards, blanket chests and more.

Pagoda currently has many structural works of art that are uniquely designed and built and can be visited by perspective clients by appointment.
